TRAVEL BUYER ELITE PRAISED AT FOURTH EUROPEAN TRAVEL BUYER AWARDS IN LONDON
Business Travel Show, 7-8 February 2012, London

The finest business travel buyers in Europe were hailed last night at the fourth annual European Travel Buyer Awards (ETBAs) hosted on the eve of the Business Travel Show.

The ETBAs recognise and reward corporate travel managers from across Europe who are pioneers in their field; who have devised and managed progressive and innovative travel and meeting policies for their company’s travellers.

The eight winners – from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Sweden and the UK – were lauded in front of 250 of the industry’s elite at the prestigious event at the Wyndham Grand, Chelsea Harbour, London.  BTS is Europe’s leading exhibition and conference for the corporate travel and meetings market and runs from 7-8 February 2012 at Earls Court.

The winners of the European Travel Buyer Awards are:

Best CSR Initiative in a Travel Programme                      
·        Paul Hinds, Head of Sustainability, Natural England
      
Best use of Innovation in a Travel Programme  
·        Vanessa Amissah, Procurement Manager - Marcomms, Events & Travel, Royal Mail Group

Best Innovation in a Travel Programme                    
·        Julia Heesterman, Head of Travel Services, MSTravel EMEA, Microsoft Corporation

Outstanding National Travel Coordinator/Booker of the Year              
·        Katrina Murray, Executive Assistant, PwC

National Travel Buyer of the Year             
·        Nicola Spence, Travel Service Manager, Balfour Beatty Worksmart

European Travel Buyer of the Year           
·        Agrega Travel Team (JV between ABI and BAT), Agrega (JV between ABI and BAT)

European Travel Team/Department of the Year          
·   Kathleen Paszik, European Travel Coordinator, Parker Hannifin
